Sometimes, businesses look at digital technologies and only consider how they can use ‘em for external means.

But when you sit down with ‘em and recognize what their business objectives are, you might find it’s tweaking the internal operations that might produce better yield and achieve those goals.

Enterprise software is usually associated with really hefty price tags but with internet applications (and Google coming into the game in recent years), the costs are significantly reduced and not to mention the options out there are very useful.

We’ve worked on an MNC technology giant where instead of focusing on what their eCommerce retail channels were like, we looked at their internal business intelilgence systems and achieved targeted increase in sales and marketing data 3 months ahead of schedule.

Sometimes it pays to do some ’self-reflection’. :)

I’m sure many others are getting similar questions from clients. This is still a very big topic for many marketers and businesses.
I’m not going to go into all the many different case studies of great successes and failures. You can readily find that via any search engine.
What I am going to say is it’s not [...]

Came across this interesting German online service provider.
I’ve come across many conference firms, events firms and hotels as well whom have made extremely good efforts using digital technologies to drive repeat attendees or reach out to different sets of target customers to their various seminars, talks, events etc. These include using customer relationship management tools, [...]

Buying singles is not a new concept even back in the days of CDs. But iTunes has popularized it a lot more. This though is interesting, Radiohead is in a position now to create extra revenue from what probably they might never have when just producing albums through music labels.
Good example of leveraging digital technologies [...]

A lot has been discussed on the impact of augmented reality and its application thus far. There’s no doubt it can be very cool to be used in advertising materials, but as always that’s not Sowing Seeds’ favorite philosophy. Looking cool is great, but it probably might not sell more products for Best Buy in [...]

Many companies, when turning to eCommerce or digital technologies, tend to allow themselves to be influenced by products or services that are already available out there.
Travel agent wants to develop an online tool that can generate more leads…they build a price comparison tool for hotels…it’s been done. Media company wants to promote a new TV [...]

Partnerships are the pillar of many successful companies whom have turned to digital to create new revenue streams. Leveraging on a related business and piggy-backing with a service that group of users might be interested in is always a great revenue and traffic acquisition tactic. This is one that sounds very interesting for Jajah.

Hulu.com has been making very decent revenue from its business model of putting premium professionally produced content on their website. ABC, FOX, and NBC shows are all available on Hulu.com. It’s definitely no YouTube.com so don’t mix those 2 up.
Why we think it’s a good model? Well it takes the on-demand model of TV but [...]

Interesting marketing idea from Paypal: https://www.paypal-dostuffformoney.com.
That could still bring them some secondary revenue. Nice.
