Widgets, gadgets, APIs….marketers are getting savvy and we witness many creative and design agencies pitching new technologies such as building customized dashboards for online marketing management, media monitoring, or widgets, mobile apps etc. for consumer downloads.
All good ideas if applied correctly to useful products/services that the client provides. Now here’s another option, if you’ve got [...]

Great examples. It’s really frustrating and very scary how many PR and/or Communications professionals advocate pages or groups of some form without really putting much thought or even realizing the importance of a long term differentiated content plan. The recruitment strategy is completely seperate and to be honest, with social networks if the content’s good [...]

This makes us at Sowing Seeds happy. Someone using Social Media for more than just another ‘consumer touchpoint’, ‘communication channel’, ‘brand experience tool’ and all the other ridiculously overused buzzwords.
Dell’s recognized how they can provide a useful service to consumers through Twitter whilst growing their alternative revenue stream via DellOutlet. Practices like these are applicable [...]

Google, for obvious reasons recognizes the need to sync to what is the de-facto email client in the majority of corporations.
Thinking for companies and businesses, for example airlines, education providers, it might be worth investing in simple systems that will allow their customers to pull the time-sensitive information e.g. flight schedules, school exam schedules for [...]

At Sowing Seeds, we’re huge fans of aggregation, consolidation and anything that makes it easier. In fact one of our pet peeves is when someone starts a marketing campaign with ‘Let’s build a microsite, with a new fancy URL and drive traffic there!’. Odds are that marketer would benefit driving more traffic to his/her corporate site with a [...]

Interesting article with mobile marketing data out of China (which reflects Asia slightly better than US and European data).

We ripped CDs. We sell digital music.
Now we rip books. Guess what we’ll sell? ;-)

Here’s an interesting option for companies whom utilize Twitter. It’s straight forward, customers subscribe to a twitter feed from a publisher/organization for a fee, the revenue’s split between the publisher and Super Chirp.

What would make this work? Very strong and compelling content and a good solid brand name. Actually also a possible option for organizations whom could use Twitter [...]
